Do you have Plexusity?
August 26, 2006
The plexus is our human body’s interconnected systems, vascular, nervous, etc…It’s a fitting metaphor for our interconnectedness thanks to the web. Plexusity in my first blog and geared at minimizing webspeak – hence the header “uncomplexus”. I am aggressively moving away from complexity to plexusity!
I hope collaborators will include non-geeks, non-IT folks, immersed in business (especially marketing folks) and intimidated by the speed and esoterica of the web. But I also hope to be inspired by patient, compassionate geeks, web gurus and IT folks. I toil daily at bringing people together about the possibilities of the web in user terms, here, at our corporate site, and, our conferences and exhibitions. As gatherings go, there is still nothing faster than human conversation or that engages all sensory systems for full comprehension. I just don’t see the advent of the virtual handshake, hug, and “the [billion] natural shocks the flesh is heir to”.

Marie,
you posted on Shelley’s blog about your upcoming conference and it might help if you would link from here to more informtion about it for visitors as well as for possible speakers. Additionally, a contact information is burried deep down in your about me page – if I am interested in the conference, I am not looking there necessarly.
For visitors: Coming from Europe a decent trip planning starts several months before such an event due to travelling costs.
For speakers: they will need time to think about what they might want to talk about and try to reflect on what you consider to be in the conference.
