March 1, 2007

eyejot1.jpgzink1.jpgindexhero200701091.jpg

The following innovators from the stalwart behemoths to the bootstraped entrepreneurs are worthy of praise–they are changing our future. I am confident I’ve forgotten a few. Sadly, I am not omniscient. It is a live list that I will expand in the same updated post daily, weekly. Your suggestions are welcome. These ideas are actionable, useful and often border on genius. All are worthy of praise whether they make it to the finish line or not. So they are NOT PRIORITIZED. It is a democratic list. Their innovations are recent 2006 and 2007–some are so fundamental yet “new” that I ignored their birth date.

    Hi Mrs. Marie Germain,
    Wow! Qode is number 2.
I hope it is not because we spammed comments on your blog last year. :)

What do you think about the MC2?

I have followed the Mobile Codes Consortium (MC2) from day one. You will find all the information on my blog.

    Best regards

Marie, I love your list! I’m a longterm shareholder of Neomedia Technologies (Qode) so I’m biased towards them but I spent over an hour digging into all of your choices. WHAT A GREAT LIST!

Where did you find all of these “Googles to be” ?

Thank you for your fine work.

    Howard

    Hi Marie,

Excellent list of top technology innovators for 2007. Of most interest to me is NeoMedia’s qode :)

I run the new blog: http://streetstylz.blogspot.com/

My blog covers NeoMedia specifically and I was wondering if I could post your impressive list of top technology innovators on my blog?

I was also wondering if I could get a quote from you as to why you selected qode? Feel free to send it to my email address.

Thank you and much appreciated … Keep up the great work :)

    Sean

I hope in your “almost omniscient’ , it was astute of you to rise above and ascertain that ‘Scanbuy’ is subject to patent infringement to NeoMedia and thier ‘Trump Card’! Randell

An excellent post on an informative site: have included on my technorati favourites. Steve

I’m glad that I came across your Blog. An impressive post indeed, these innovators’ inventions speak for themselves. But mass usability, rather than a concentrated geeky atmosphere, is what can lead to – ‘they are changing our future’ scenario, you mentioned about.

    Thanks!
    Allan.

Checked out your Number 2 pick , qode once I loaded it and tried it on my mobile phone with some codes found on their website. I found it truely amazing any idea when this will be mainstream..

Hey Qode people: The list is not prioritized but I have always said Qode was great. And compared it to MS (Zitnick Zygot) too. It’s great to be empowered this way from a pocket size device. The sky is the limit. What else can Qode read? I believe you are doing images too–you don’t yak about this much. I know this has its challenges. But I really like that one.

Sean: Yes be my guest. Just make sure you give me author’s credit.

Steve and Allan: You’re just what I needed after a long drive back from Montreal. Thanks.

Andrew: I hope you are not on Qode’s payroll! Problem is there are so many features available for mobile–some are robust, some less. But when you add up all the fees…I’m just sayin’… I just hope Qode and other clever mobile apps won’t sell out within invisible bundles with service providers. You can’t build a powerful brand that way. Maybe when Neomedia buys lets say a ringtones app start-up and a mobile video delivery start-up, the brand will take on greater meaning (and use) than the elite market use of bar code. Qode should sniff out smart folks looking for cash. No revelation here.

what about Scrybe? I don’t know if you have had the chance to look at it, or (if you are one of the lucky ones) beta test it, but it appears that Scrybe may revolutionize the productivity industry. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love Google Calendar, but it is not without its flaws.

  • 10. Marie Germain  |  March 6, 2007 at 10:00 UTC

Indeed Scrybe is beautiful. It’s an elegant productivity tool and may just be the best. Provides a great video. I think this one should probably make the list. Will continue checking.

  • [...] est aussi intéressante de constater que QODE se trouve également dans la liste des meileures technologies innovatrices 2007 de madame Marie [...]
