About me

Hi friends of Plexusity. My name is Marie Germain, founder and CEO of BrainFood Partners Inc. a soon to be 11 years old corporation. In web terms, it’s an old corporation! My current role as Chairman of Plexus 2007 is fast becoming one of my favorites. Plexus 2007 is all about our inter-connectedness thanks to the web (or should I say, Tim Berners-Lee) and the myriad of digital innovations sprouting by the minute. In fact, Plexus 2007 is a demo. No languishing talking heads, but rather fast-paced, multi-media, “knock your socks off”, staged demos that demonstrate exactly “how it works”. This should deliver AHA after AHA to our business audience. Yep! It’s tailored to business folks that are overwhelmed by what the digital world and especially the web have to offer in productivity, marketing, economies of scale, building networks, entreprise innovations, community, communications, etc… I aim to be “uncomplexus” and that should be no problem since I don’t have any formal training in IT. Well there was that stint at U of T, “computer programming 101″ where I discovered the binary system, long before Tim invented the web. If I had it my way I’d be tucked away in a cabin by the ocean writing a book or ranting a book. Perhaps this is impetus.

I am also a mom of two gorgeous children. My son is 14 and my daughter who is 18, has abandoned me for the University lifestyle to become a scientist. My son already plans to attend U of Waterloo and become a silicon sire. I swear the two chanel Harpo and Groucho Marx–interchangeably! They are the apples of my two eyes and the principal reason I am doing this stuff at all hours.
